Enjoy Castle Hill on the Crane Estate all year long as seen through the lens of noted Ipswich-based photographer David “Stoney” Stone. The beauty found in the greater Ipswich area, and in particular Castle Hill at the Crane Estate, inspires Stoney’s work.
This hanging wall calendar features some iconic images of the Crane Estate including landscapes, architecture, gardens and events, with a different photo each month.
Stoney recently retired from his position as a photographer in the Photography Department at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts. He thinks of himself primarily as a photographer of the natural scene, though he finds himself drawn to anything where light, shadow and line are at play.
