American Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana) - Native to the Eastern U.S., the American Persimmon produces small, orange carmel-honey flavored fruits packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber, making them a healthy addition to your diet. This tree grows to 30-60 feet tall with a 30-40 foot spread and thrives in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil. It offers beautiful fall foliage and, when ripe, the fruit has a unique, sweet flavor, typically ready for harvest after the first frost.
