Details

Meet Ptolemy, Mrs. Crane's favorite Siamese cat.

Inspired by Castle Hill Cat's Meow Children's Tour, this Siamese kitten will captivate your heart and imagination as you create your own adventures together.

Mrs. Crane and her daughter, Florence, brought a Siamese kitten home from Paris at the end of their world tour in 1926. The tour included a trip to Egypt, a country of great interest after the 1923 discovery of King Tutankhamun's Tomb. Newly enamored with Egyptian culture, the Cranes named their Siamese kitten Ptolemy (TOH-lem-ee).

Mrs. Crane and Ptolemy had a special bond. Mrs. Crane’s insistence to include her beloved cat in the rotunda painting at Castle Hill elevated Ptolemy from a pet to a cherished member of the Crane family.

Made with high-quality plush materials in cozy creams with brown and tan accents, this cuddly kitten has an especially soft texture. This plush is in full compliance with existing Toy Safety Standards.

Size: 9" Tall Sitting
