The Beach Plum is a native northeastern shrub that grows abundantly on the Massachusetts coast. They produce small, sweet plums in late summer, ideal for fresh eating, preserves, or sherbet. Shrubs typically reaches 4-8 feet in height and width and thrive in full sun and sandy soil. This hardy shrub is covered in attractive white flowers in spring and can provide valuable wildlife support with its abundant edible fruit.
