The Nanking Cherry is a hardy, compact shrub that produces tart, red cherries perfect for making preserves. Growing 5-8 feet tall and wide, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. This shrub blooms profusely in early spring, offering a stunning show of pink flowers, followed by abundant fruit in late spring or early summer.
